Carlos Espalier By: Sang Ho Carlos Espalier was born in Texas in 1819. He lived a very short life. He died in 1836 at The Battle of Alamo at the age of seventeen. According to the Texas State Historical Association, he was said to be a protégé of James Bowie. Even though he was young, he fought bravely.
